so much for accountability

yes, i didn't run at all last week! yikes!

but the good news is that i'm moving, and i'll be living right next to kapiolani park and diamond head, which is one of my favorite runs. i will have no excuse!!

i can't believe it's may already! the team in training season kicks off officially on june 6 with our first group run for the nike women's marathon. i'm excited to meet the team this year and see who's returning. in the next couple of weeks there will be informational meetings and other TNT events, so i'll keep you posted!

getting an early start

so training for this season doesn't start until june 6 (there's still plenty of time to join TNT if you're interested in signing up!) but since i haven't been running regularly for quite some time now, i'm going to start trying to get into the groove of having a regular routine. you'll notice the nike plus widget on the left side of my blog with stats from my most recent runs.

of course, this isn't to show off (i know i'm slow!) but in a way it keeps me honest by putting it out there for the world to see. yesterday i did a run around diamond head with jasmine and forest since i slacked on running before farmer's market on saturday. and today, just a quick 2 miler around my neighborhood because my legs are a little achy from the day before. told you i was out of shape!

i'm also still getting used to blogspot for this blog. i must say, my previous blogs have been at wordpress and bootsnall and both were a lot more user friendly, or maybe its just that i know my way around a wordpress blog a bit better... i might end up moving this one over... we'll see.

the road to SF begins here...

Yes, it's that time of year once again! I missed last year's Nike Women's Marathon because I had just gotten back from traveling for 9 months and I wasn't quite ready to get back into the swing of training again. The week before the race I came sooooo close to signing up anyway! haha. So this year, I'm back! Thanks for coming along for the ride!

I'll be using this blog to share training updates and info about ways that you can help me to spread the word and reach my goal for this year of raising $3,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. You can also view my fundraising webpage or make a donation here.
